NEAR-FACTORY CO2 STORAGE
LOCAL, SAFE & SUSTAINABLE
INDUSTRIAL DECARBONIZATION
TerraStora's clients across the "hard to abate" industries such as cement, steel, fertilizer, power generation, bioethanol, chemicals, lime, sugar, and waste incinerator… are struggling to deploy proven and affordable decarbonization plans to slash their emissions.

We deliver geological exploration to build safe and viable CO2 geological sequestration sites near your industrial site; at no risk.
Then we provide the long-term CO2 storage-as-a-service to reach your net-zero industrial objectives.

Our services give a tremendous edge to our clients with:
- "Off the fence" dedicated CO2 storage
- No exploration risk solution
- Predictability & Control over their CO2 removal
- No greenwashing with a pure CO2 operator
EXPLORATION
TerraStora sets a paradigm change in CO2 storage exploration, as our starting point is your factories and industries and not the geological setting. We focus mainly on deep saline aquifer exploration, deeper than 1000m, building prospect portfolio for industries that needs it.
This translates into near-factory storage deployed quickly, at no risk, cutting off expensive and non-sustainable CO2 transport.
Exploration is our core activity and our primary objective, built around three pillars:
“Industry” proximity & sustainability: delivering the most affordable CO2 storage with the smallest environmental footprint.
Safe and "small" storage: CO2 is injected in proven geological formations which cannot leak, and have small footprint.
Integration with communities: Full transparency with local communities where industries need CO2 storage.
We conduct exploration across Europe Mainland, South America, South East Asia and Australia looking for the most suitable locations and the most dynamic industrial clients.
SUPPORTING "HARD TO ABATE INDUSTRIES”
Industries need economical, viable, scalable, and ready solutions, without taking high risk nor high capex.
While several emerging technologies hold promises, they remain inadequate to address the extensive CO2 storage demands crucial for achieving Net Zero emission targets.

This is where we step in, leveraging our subsurface expertise and taking a new approach to CO2 permanent storage exploration. Our focus also ties with climate justice, accepting that developing nations need affordable CO2 solutions, to deliver simultaneous economic development and emissions reduction.
CO2 CAPTURE
-
We work closely with carbon capture companies, to ensure that geological storage are operated at full efficiency.

-
We bring several CO2 sources under the same storage hub, to take cost down and unlock carbon sink opportunities.

-
Our prospects are open for CO2 emitters to join when capacity is available; however without use for petroluem production.
STORAGE MONITORING
-
Around each site, all aspects of the geosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and atmosphere are continuously monitored

-
Each ton of CO2 is meticulously followed through a comprehensive integration of geological, geophysical, subsurface flow, and geomechanical models.

-
All tests and measurements results are shared as public information for full transparency.
ENSURING SAFETY
-
Our approach consists in tracking and controlling CO2 underground at all times.

-
We draw confidence from the existence of natural CO2 reservoirs that have remained stable at various depths in nature for millions of years.

-
We build onto the successful storage of natural gas worldwide for over a century; highlights the capacity to securely store deep underground.

REGULATORY
-
We leverage our team expertise in subsurface integrity delivered to regulators over 10+ years.

-
We frame and follow the best regulation of Europe, North America, South East Asia and South America.

-
Our safety approach is fully transparent so that all stakeholders can contribute to ensure storage safety.
CARBON CAPTURE & STORAGE CHAIN
More than 90% of the CCUS (carbon capture, utilization, and storage) chain is expected to consist of CCS (carbon capture and storage) with geological storage.
Our activity is one of the cornerstone which can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from “hard to abate” industries: cement, steel, waste incineration, thermoelectric plant, hydrogen production, fertilizers, ammonia, chemicals, glass, lime, aluminum, pulp & paper, cardboard, sugar, gypsum… and also direct air capture.
The objective of CCS is to enable to maintain industrial activities where they have been built, optimize them, and limit their CO2 emission, while greener technologies are developed over the next decades. This approach is fundamental to avoid delocalization of industries, transfering the CO2 pollution somewhere else, and to keep the industrial activities protecting jobs, knowledge and technologies.
